October 2025: Immune & Hormonal Health

Kundalini yoga

October marks a natural transition — the shift from the high energy of summer into the slower rhythms of autumn. It is a month when our bodies begin to adjust to cooler days and longer nights. The immune and endocrine systems, which regulate balance at every level of our physiology, are especially important at this time.

This four-week Kundalini Yoga series is dedicated to supporting immune resilience and hormonal harmony. Each week we will focus on a different part of the endocrine system — the body’s master regulators that influence mood, energy, metabolism, stress response, and immunity. By working with breath, movement, deep relaxation, and meditation, we’ll awaken the body’s natural capacity to restore balance and vitality.

Unlike ordinary exercise, Kundalini Yoga engages both the physical body and the subtle energy system. Through pranayam (breathwork), kriya (yogic sets), and meditation, these practices affect not only the muscles and circulation, but also the glandular and nervous systems, which play a central role in health and healing.

✨ Why the Endocrine & Immune Systems?

The endocrine system is composed of glands — pineal, pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, and thymus, among others — that release hormones into the bloodstream. These chemical messengers regulate sleep, mood, metabolism, growth, and stress response. The thymus, in particular, bridges the endocrine and immune systems by producing T-cells, vital defenders of health.

When stress, fatigue, or imbalance disrupts this system, we may feel depleted, foggy, or unwell. But when it is balanced, the entire body and mind function in harmony. In yogic tradition, this inner balance is seen not only as physical health, but as a reflection of deeper vitality and radiance.

This series is designed to:

  • Strengthen the immune system to meet seasonal transitions
  • Balance the endocrine glands that regulate energy, metabolism, and mood
  • Reduce stress by harmonizing the nervous system
  • Cultivate resilience and clarity at both the physical and subtle levels

🌼 Weekly Focus

Week 1 — Pituitary & Pineal: The Master Glands

The pituitary and pineal glands are considered the “command centers” of the endocrine system. They regulate many of the body’s rhythms and influence sleep, mood, and hormonal flow. In yogic teaching, they also correspond to the Third Eye and crown centers — gateways of intuition and higher awareness.
This week’s class will attune awareness and restore harmony from the inside out.

Week 2 — Thyroid & Parathyroid: The Gatekeepers of Energy

The thyroid, shaped like a butterfly, regulates metabolism, growth, and energy balance. The parathyroid, nestled behind it, governs calcium levels and the strength of bones and nerves. In yoga, this region is connected to the throat chakra — communication, truth, and authentic expression.
This week’s class supports vitality, self-expression, and balance between activity and rest.

Week 3 — Adrenals & Navel: Resilience & Vitality

The adrenal glands, sitting atop the kidneys, control the body’s stress response — releasing cortisol and adrenaline. In balance, they provide strength and resilience; out of balance, they can lead to fatigue, anxiety, or burnout. In Kundalini Yoga, the navel center is the seat of willpower and core vitality.
This week’s class strengthens resilience, calms stress, and restores energy at the core.

Week 4 — Thymus & Immune System: Inner Defense & Renewal

The thymus, just above the heart, is essential for immune function. It produces T-cells, which help defend the body against illness. In yoga, this region is also linked to the heart chakra — compassion, courage, and connection.
This final class focuses on strengthening inner defenses, opening the heart, and cultivating both physical vitality and emotional balance.

🧘 What to Expect

Each class will include:
