February 2025: Sacred Heart, Sacred Mind: Activating the Vagus Nerve

In the symphony of the human body, the vagus nerve plays a vital role as the “central tuning string,” aligning the mind and body in harmonious coherence. Drawing inspiration from Stephen W. Porges’ concept of Ancient Rituals, this February series delves into yogic practices that naturally tone the vagus nerve, fostering balance, resilience, and a doorway to higher realms of consciousness. Once woven into the fabric of communal life, these timeless rituals resonate deeply with the practices of Kundalini Yoga, where breath, mantra, and movement act as sacred threads connecting us to ourselves and the universe.

As we gather each week, we will explore the intersection of modern science and ancient wisdom, activating the vagus nerve to cultivate calm and clarity amidst life’s challenges. Through pranayam, somatic movement, meditation, and community integration, you’ll not only learn tools to reduce stress and anxiety but also discover pathways to inner heart coherence and potential spiritual awakening. These practices gently guide the nervous system toward parasympathetic states, opening space for profound transformation and connection.

This series is an invitation to tune your inner instrument, align with your authentic Self, and experience the sacred resonance of heart and mind. Join us on this journey, beginning February 2nd at 9 am Pacific, to embody balance, peace, and vitality in the month dedicated to the heart. Together, we’ll rediscover the Ancient Rituals that illuminate the path to wholeness
