July 2024 Kundalini Yoga Series: Cultivating the Neutral Mind for Personal Liberation

July kicks off with Independence Day on July 4th for those in the US, but we will carry the theme of liberation throughout the entire month. Join us for a transformative Kundalini Yoga series focused on personal and collective liberation. True liberation involves being freed from internal constraints, limitations, or suffering, and this profound freedom is achieved in large part by cultivating the Neutral Mind, located at the heart center or 4th body in Kundalini Yoga.

Throughout July, we will delve into the power of the Neutral Mind. Known as the Meditative or Intuitive Mind, the Neutral Mind allows us to look at the whole play of life with insight and compassion, balancing the inputs from our Negative and Positive Minds (2nd and 3rd bodies respectively). By strengthening the Neutral Mind, we pave the way for a deeper sense of emancipation and enlightenment, leading to both personal and collective liberation.

“The Neutral Mind lives for the touch of vastness. It lets all other thoughts be without disturbance to your constant inner light. The Neutral Mind opens the gate to that deep remembrance of the self and soul.

It is easy to hear a truth and difficult to live it, to embed it deeply into your heart and mind. Jappa (meditative repetition of a mantra) done with the refined Neutral Mind leads to Naam Chit Aveh—the constant remembrance of the Infinite.” 3HO

The Neutral Mind, situated at the heart center, is the abode of prana and intuition. From this vantage point, you can observe life with insight and compassion, receiving guidance from within. The Neutral Mind evaluates input from both the Negative and Positive Minds, as well as the rest of the Ten Bodies, providing a balanced and comprehensive perspective. When the Neutral Mind is strong, you can make decisions with clarity and wisdom, integrate life experiences meaningfully, and perceive beyond the polarities of life. However, a weak Neutral Mind can leave you feeling victimized by life and struggling to find meaning, making it difficult to tune into the broader cosmic scheme.

Join us as we explore and strengthen this essential aspect of our being, aiming to achieve a state of intuitive living, inner peace, and true liberation. Through the cultivation of the Neutral Mind, we will work towards overcoming internal limitations and achieving a deeper sense of emancipation and enlightenment, ultimately leading to personal and collective liberation.
